This hands-on workshop in English is for everyone looking for a free, fast and simple to use database for analysing large amounts of data.  Paraphrasing from Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckDB):

 

...DuckDB (https://duckdb.org) is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS) originally developed by Mark Raasveldt and Hannes Mühleisen at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in the Netherlands and first released in 2019.... The project has over 6 million downloads per month...  DuckDB is used at Facebook, Google, and Airbnb...

- What is DuckDB?

- Why DuckDB?

- Using DuckDB via the command line interface (CLI)

- Using DuckDB via graphical user interfaces (GUI)

- Using DuckDB via the Structured Query Language (SQL)

- Using DuckDB via the Python programming language

- Comparing DuckDB with Apache Spark/Databricks

- Scaling DuckDB with MotherDuck

- Artificial intelligence (AI) use cases
